Technical Sales & Service of New England, Inc. was incorporated by William M. George in September 1987.

Bill’s experience started in the mid-60’s as a Mechanical Engineer working in a Paper Mill in Topsham, Maine. Bill’s time in a small integrated pulp and paper mill generated valuable experiences relative to mechanical power transmission, water treatment processes, material handling and conveying systems, hydro-electric generation, and pulping processes. In the mid 70’s Bill started selling engineered power transmission products and systems to the numerous industries through-out the State of Maine.

With the start of Technical Sales & Service in 1987, Bill decided to specialize in gear box sales and service. TNE invested in new and used and surplus-new gear drives and built its gear inventory to one of the largest on the east coast.

With our inventory, technical data base and experienced personnel working to quote and build the equipment on the shop floor, we are able to handle most any geared drive project.
